WHAT WE COLLECT AND WHY

The DeFoor Report is published by DeFoor Innovations. This page says what we keep about you, and nothing here changes without this page changing first. Last updated October 12, 2026.

Reading the Report

We count visits to improve the Report. The counter sets no cookies and keeps no IP address and no name. For each page view it keeps the page, the time, the site that sent you, your device type, browser language and time zone, and a random number stored in your browser so we can tell new visits from return visits. Browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are counted only as an anonymous page view. Story links go to their publishers, who have their own privacy policies.

The weekly email and saved articles

If you sign up, we keep your email address to send the email and, for saved articles, your list of saved stories. We don't sell or share it.

Adding the Report to your AI

If you ask for a key, we keep your email address, the key's status and how many requests it makes each day (to apply your plan's daily limit). When your AI assistant calls the Report's news feed, the request carries only the subject, a search word if you gave one, and how many stories to return. We don't receive your conversation with the assistant. The feed runs on Process Runner, operated by DeFoor Innovations.

Server logs

Like most sites, the servers that run the Report keep standard request logs, which include the network address a request came from, for security and troubleshooting. Google Cloud keeps them for 30 days. To stop sign-up abuse, we also keep a scrambled (hashed) form of the network address and email with the times of recent sign-up requests, for a day.

Contact forms and tips

If you write to us, we keep what you send so we can answer it. Tips can be anonymous.

Removing your information

Ask us to remove your email, your key or anything you sent, and we will: contact us.
